I stand beside your gravestone

Weeks after the funeral

Was I not invited?

I have my good byes to say

And say them

I turn back for another glance

Knowing I’ll return

There’s always more poetry to share

As I turn away,

Shield my eyes from the sun

On my walk to the car,

I promise

To not disturb you anymore
