The Diamond Light

The diamond light turns sun
Starlings I’ve cradled sing be still my soul
I pluck at the piano remembering each nest and poop everywhere
is sunlight dawning on man’s missteps

A dancing tune we hum hymns we cast away
Fledgling turned flight

A handful to a pinprick
